As another incredible school year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say thank you to our amazing students, families, staff, and community for making this year so special.
This year has been filled with learning, laughter, growth, and unforgettable memories. From classroom celebrations and field trips to concerts, assemblies, spirit days, and countless "aha!" moments, our students have amazed us with their curiosity, kindness, and perseverance every single day.
To our students—thank you for bringing your smiles, creativity, and Panda Power to school each day. We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and can't wait to see all the wonderful things you'll continue to do!
To our families—thank you for your partnership, encouragement, and support. Together, we have created a school community where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference, and we are grateful for all you do.
As summer begins, we hope everyone takes time to relax, recharge, and make wonderful memories with family and friends. Read a great book, play outside, visit a park, enjoy an ice cream, catch fireflies, splash in a pool, or simply spend time together. Summer is the perfect opportunity to explore, imagine, and have fun!

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our incredible PTO President, Kristin Loughlin, for her unwavering dedication to the Matthew Paterson Elementary School community.
Kristin has been a tireless advocate for our students, staff, and families. Her countless hours of planning, organizing, volunteering, and supporting school events have helped create memorable experiences for our children throughout the year. Whether coordinating family events, supporting our teachers, organizing fundraisers, or simply lending a helping hand whenever it was needed, Kristin has led with enthusiasm, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to making MPES the very best it can be.
Her leadership has strengthened the partnership between our school and families, and her positive spirit has inspired so many others to become involved in our school community.
On behalf of the entire MPES staff and students, thank you, Kristin, for your dedication, generosity, and countless hours of service. Your impact on our school will be felt for years to come, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done.
